What you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, in return.

You know the drill - small print. We pride ourselves on being transparent, so you shouldn’t find anything shocking down here. But, please, do read carefully.

Terms and conditions:

1. Domestic painting & decorating service

  1. We only work with paint from selected manufacturers. Predominantly, these are Little Greene, Victory Colours and Graphenstone. We can make exceptions if you have particular paint in mind, however, we can’t guarantee the finish, and in such a case we provide an estimate, not a quote.

  2. For projects with quoted value of £1500 or more, we ask for an advanced payment to buy materials. This is a fixed rate of 40% of the overall project value. This payment must be received at least 7 working days before the project is due to commence to afford time for paint delivery.

  3. When executing a project we guarantee the time period agreed. Should we run over due to delays caused by us, the quoted price remains fixed. Should the completion take longer or the start date be delayed because a) the space isn’t ready for us to start on the agreed start date b) there are delays caused by other tradesmen working on the project after we have started the work c) you (the client) change your mind, at any stage after the paint has been purchased and the scope of the project agreed, regarding the colour or design, we carry no responsibility, and this may result in increased overall project price, which you’ll be asked to agree to before the completion.

  4. After project’s completion, and after the final invoice has been delivered to you, this invoice is payable within 7 work days.

  5. We forward you (the client) 50% of paint discounts we receive from our suppliers.

  6. We plant a tree with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust upon completion of every project.

  7. We collect, dispose of or recycle all waste produced by us while executing your project. No waste shall be left behind.

2. Paint It Forward

Our zero-waste paint scheme has been developed to do just that, limit waste. Following rules must be observed by anyone who chooses to participate:

  1. The paint donated by our clients is not to be monetized in any way. It must remain a free giveaway. Should we find out any money has been exchanged at any point between the person we hand the paint over to and the person planning to use the paint (to paint with it), you will be permanently banned from participating again.

  2. The paint donated by our clients needs to be used within 12 months from the point of it being handed over by us to the person participating in the scheme.

  3. Should the paint be found spoiled after the tin has been opened for the first time since being donated to you by us, you can return this paint, and we will recycle it, or you can choose to do so yourself.

  4. To give a fair chance to everyone, any given person (our client) can only participate 3 times within every 12 months. Should the person choose to participate 3 times, the paint from the scheme needs to go to a different third person or organisation every time. An exception can be made should the paint be use on a charitable or educational project.

  5. Any unspoilt paint we hand over within the scheme and its packaging (the tin) become the responsibility of the new owner, and are expected to be disposed of properly, following the city council guidelines or taken to Seagulls Reuse Paint.

  6. Should the paint be intended as a gift or a surprise and refused by the intended person or organisation, the paint can be returned to us.

  7. All the leftover paint intended for this scheme will be collected and stored in Leeds. Anyone interested in participating will be expected to arrange a suitable time to pick it up with Kevin or Mat (see Contact)

  8. The scheme runs on ‘First come, first served’ basis.
